Today we went to a 7:37 a.m. lake-side, boat-in church service that Lois and Jim attend each Sunday in the summer. We took our lawn chairs and sat on the side of the hill looking out over the lake with some boats anchored off the shore. The sermon was about living a peaceful life and I couldn't think of a better place to talk about peace. After church, we went back to Maria's for breakfast and Chuck and I shared Eggs Benedict and a fruit plate.
I did some wash and Chuck washed the coach for our trip out to the St. Louis, MO/Alton, IL area and our visit with other good friends--the Roths and Hellrungs. We also winter with these folks in Naples, FL. The Campbells are traveling out with us, also. Tomorrow we are stopping in Indianapolis for Jim to go to an eye doctor's appointment while his son, Kent, will take Chuck and I for a tour of the race track there. Hopefully, we will get to take a spin around the track!!
We did drive down to Winona, IN and ate dinner at the Boathouse Restaurant http://www.villageatwinona.com/boathouse-restaurant.asp where we looked out over Lake Winona. Beautiful lake! While there, we watched an ole fashioned softball game--no gloves and different rules! See picture above.
We may not have good Internet access for the next week; if so, I'll catch you up later!
PS. I may go back and add additional information on some of the days events, such as pictures. So, you might want to go back and see if I've added anything!
